Our friend Testament, all the way from Ontario Canada, is coming to Winona on Friday November 13th to perform original anarchist hip-hop and give a workshop about resistance to the upcoming Olympics happening in Canada this February. Along with him, the debut performance of new Winona band called The Diving Bell. Adam August and Friends will bridge the gap between the workshop and the show. The workshop will kick everything off at 9. Wild Nettle Distro will also be there. This is all happening at the Canswer House (367 Grand Street). Here is a description of the workshop:

The 2010 Winter Olympics is set to take place this February in occupied Coast Salish (Canada's West Coast) bringing with them social cleansing, ecocide, gentrification, a full-scale police state, and the further colonization of indigenous lands. However, resistance to these games has been fierce. Indigenous peoples and anarchists have targeted every single Olympic event so far with direct actions, and many corporate sponsors of the games have suffered repeated attacks on their assets.
