Great news for anyone who thought they would have to miss cream corn wrestling this year because it fell so early in August. It has been decided that cream corn wrestling will now be on August 8th on Latsch Island. A flyer has been made so look for it and i'll try and upload it as soon as possible.

Be ready on Saturday afternoon, August 8th on Latsch Island to bring the fight to the corn! Come in costume, they give you super corn powers, which you will need to survive the epic battles and awesome drinking that only Winona can provide.

If anyone knows of any bands that would like to play get ahold of Ben, Josh, Eli, Megan, or myself. I can't wait to see you all there!

    bands around:
June Madrona (from Olympia) will be around Th/Fr/Sat. and might like to play a CornCook Fri. or early Corn Sat.
Baby Guts is playing at Ed's Fri.7th, and might enjoy the next day (a better "wrestling band" than June Madrona)
Les Deux Magots are playing w/ BG @ Ed's and also seem like a good CCW soundtrack.

i think Megan, Eli, Josh (Ben/Flossie?) would agree. help them talk to/about Baby Guts & Magots.
June Madrona are excellent...but they're beautiful/wussie music wouldn't encite anyone to grapple in stinky slop.

  4. Early evening that day at the Arts Center: Bill and Kate Isles: Accoustic, Folk and Bluegrass music. Bill and Kate are from Duluth. The winonaarts.org site has admission as TBA, but I'll go out on a limb and say $5. (I'm not maintaining the web site now, nor did I book them.) The web site has a link, but it should be www.billandkateisles.com

No tracking in corn residue, please. New carpet.

  5. Admission is $7, and the web link at the Arts Center had been fixed.
